ADSSEOSA Set 2001 presented 25-units of well-produced chairs to ADSSE. The chairs were commissioned by the CIE of Education, Uvwie. Worthy to emphasise is the good look and quality of the chairs, which arguably will stand the test of time.
Kudos to the leadership and members of the Class of 2001 for this kind gesture. Your guys have again complemented the efforts of the National body by demonstrating the ADSSEOSA spirit of giving back to our alma mater, no matter how little it may be. We are also using this opportunity to appreciate all the members of 2001 Set for enrolling about 17 indigent students for WAEC, last year.
May God bless all the members of Class of 2001.

DELTA STATE GOVERNEMENT APPROVES THE MERGER OF ARMY DAY SECONDARY SCHOOL 1 & 2
The Delta State government through Ministry of Secondary Education, Asaba has approved the merger of Army Day Secondary School 1 and 2 to be one, as requested by ADSSEOSA with immediate effect. The current Principal of School 2, Mrs Margaret Akpotu has also been appointed as the substantive Principal of the school.
It might interest you to note that ADSSEOSA through the National and Set Leaders embarked on a lot of politicking and persuasive moves amongst the various stakeholders on why they should support the request. I am glad to inform members of ADSSEOSA that all the stakeholders listed above wrote in support of the request by ADSSEOSA.Recall that sometime last year, ADSSEOSA initiated the process of merging both ADSSE 1 & 2 by writing to the Delta State Ministry of Education, citing justifiable reasons why both schools should be one. The Ministry responded by requesting key stakeholders: ADSSEOSA, the Army, PTAs of both school 1 & 2, management of school 1 & 2 and the Palace of the Ovie of Ovwie Kingdom to send their various thoughts regarding the request from ADSSEOSA to the Ministry.
A physical meeting with all the above stakeholders was initially fixed for 11th of July 2020 but was later cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions, hence all stakeholders were asked to send their thoughts to the Ministry in writing.
After thorough review and further consultation by the Ministry of Education regarding ADSSEOSA’s request, the Executive governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa approved the merger of both schools. According to the Ministry, the merger is for the overall good of the school, ADSSE.
Congratulations, ADSSEOSA!
